Meet LOCAL’s owner Andrej Šimić – our passionate and skilled chef! With a remarkable 45-year-old family legacy in the hospitality industry, our bar & kitchen have been part of the local landscape since 1990.

Our rich culinary heritage, Andrej’s extensive training as a pizza chef in Italy and the hospitality of the LOCAL’s host – his wife Mira, have inspired us to create a restaurant in Duće which offers a unique experience to its guests, with the help of our professional and enthusiastic staff. A restaurant in Omiš we can truly be proud of!

I never write reviews by my wife and I have just been to Local bar and had a fabulous meal. I had the steak and my wife had the chicken burger and a couple pints of beer. The meal was bang on ! Steak cooked perfectly and full of flavour. Chicken burger was tasty and succulent. They were amazingly busy and they still fitted us in and provided the best meal of our stay in Croatia. Amazing pizza and views. Fresh, delicious and high quality ingredients, incredible pizza dough a cross between a soft pillow (Ćevapi like) and a sourdough pizza. I went to this place because it was recommended by a local.

Has to be my favourite place to eat. We stayed nearby in hotel nestos its just a short walk along promenade to local bar & kitchen beautiful food great staff. Would definitely recommend.
